May 2016 Month in Review

May 2016 Month in Review Video

We were moved this month, both by the tragedy of the Fort McMurray fire, and then the overwhelming effort to care and support those displaced by the wild fire. At our own school, we raised nearly $3000 for Fort McMurray through our bake sale and lemonade stand. Wow! Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Fort McMurray.

May was also a showcase of student projects. We loved the Book Report Fair, the 'How-To' Projects, Genius Hour Projects, and the Grade 5 Wax Museum of Canadian Heroes.

We also said farewell this month to our Rainbow Trout. After 4 months of watching them grow, we released them into Rotary Pond. We sure hope they continue to grow #AlbertaStrong.
