#ShakeItOff Mental Health Awareness

To kick off Mental Health Awareness week, the staff of Whitecourt Central invited special guest Taylor Swift (Mr. Landry) to sing  and dance one of her/his biggest hits "Shake It Off". This year the Mental Health Team is focussed on building resiliency. Studies have demonstrated that resiliency comes from:

  • a secure bond with a caring adult
  • relationships with positive role models
  • opportunities to learn new skills
  • opportunities to participate in meaningful activities

Special thanks to Kelly Sadoway for teaching the dance choreography and our success team coordinator, Ms. Arnott, for organizing.
