Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Leah Kreutzer and I have the best job in the world; being a  Kindergarten teacher. I was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan and I have lived in Whitecourt for 31 years. I received my Bachelor of Elementary Education from the University of Alberta in 2009.

When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family and friends outdoors camping, fishing, paddle boarding or quadding. I love to go for walks with friends, work out at B.Class and enjoy the sunshine!

As a teacher, I believe that effective teaching is about building relationships with students, and creating a culture of curiosity and learning together.

All students can learn. It is my goal to ensure that my classroom environment will encourage involvement, acceptance, trust, belonging, security, curiosity, discovery and learning through play. A classroom is a place where we celebrate each child for their individuality, imagination, intelligence, compassion, and kindness. A classroom is a place where all students feel loved, respected, safe, valued, and important. A classroom is a safe place to develop interests and talents; discover new understandings and ideas; and learn new things in fun and interesting ways.

I am grateful to be able to spend my days in my classroom doing what I love. The very best part about my classroom is who I share it with!
